Woke up. Feeling kinda low because i'm still ill. Discovered the theme - Minimalist. Hm, my first response was that this theme should be kinda easy, but then again, maybe not. The upside is that you can do basically anything, as long as it's simple.

Current plan is to make some coffee then take a shower, while pondering about ideas for a minimal game.

One idea sketched up, it's a patapon-ish platformer where you shake the screen to motivate your troops. Uncertain if i'm gonna roll with that.

While there's some heavy theme whining going on on IRC, i'm still trying to think up new ideas. Unfortunately this is proving to be quite difficult because of the previously mentioned idea. It just keeps pulling me back.

Done some testing around the primary gameplay element (shaking). I now have something that feels ok when using the mouse. I think mouse will be the only form of input this time, simply because it just fits.

Made the math more solid. Now things can only be shaken off if the shake direction is similar to the normal of the plane that the object is placed upon.

Internet went byebye 3.5 hours ago.. very frustrating during LD! On the upside I started writing the actual game (i.e. starting again from scratch, this time knowing what i want and how it should be structured).

Been struggling with wrapping my head around different mathematical spaces, i.e. object space and world space coordinates.. Tried a few more complex 3d models (levels) and they worked perfectly. This tells me that the mechanic is done and I can now begin prettifying everything.

Woke up. Got like 5 hours of sleep, which should be fine and means that i got a full day ahead of me. Gotta get up early tomorrow, so i'd prefer not to have to crunch out till late in the night.

Bleh, been doing all the annoying code (i.e. UI, gamestate etc) and man it is getting out of hand. Looking forward to turning this mess in :)

The gameplay is done (can always be tweaked for the better of course, but it works now), got a main menu and a playing state.
